Lee County, Alabama Warrant Search

An arrest warrant in Lee County is an order that gives law enforcement the legal power to locate and apprehend an individual. Warrants are issued to ensure that individuals who are suspected of being involved in a crime face the county's justice system. An arrest warrant is generally issued when law enforcement submits evidence that shows probable cause that an individual committed a crime or if that an individual violated a court order.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office is responsible for the service of warrants in the county. Arrest warrants are not subject to public disclosure until execution under the Alabama Public Records Law. This means that members of the public cannot access outstanding warrant information or know who is wanted by law enforcement. Once the warrant has been served and returned, individuals can visit the Lee County Circuit Clerk's Office to inspect a copy.
